After the soft poppiness of his Beauty Room Project, Kirk De Giorgio returns with an album of Brokentechnojazzsoul bliss. From the word go “Planetary Folklore 2” is an ear opening collage of sounds, where the keys and stubby beats are king. “Germanium” hypnotises its listeners into submission, whilst “Irradiant” lets a space age melody do the work. This album is not instantly gratifying, but one should gently absorb into their bloodstream if they wish to appreciate it fully.
